Very moving. Thanks for posting. I wonder if this happens often with firefighters & first responders. A firefighter chimed in here awhile ago about adopting a kitten he’d found at a street curb. Sounded like kismet…hope he updates us someday.

Good question.

Obviously firefighters are in a caring profession, which makes them likely candidates for pet ownership, and with the extended hours they sometimes work a cat might be a better candidate than a dog, but that's all speculation. I wonder how we could find out.
