But what I'm curious about is how you manipulate the puzzle squares? No intention of doing it, of course.

Just that when you post the puzzle to this thread, or anywhere else online, you can cut and paste each little square into any order you want.

For example, instead of the 6 for today, I could have said I solved it in 2.
Course with my luck this week, no one would have believed me.

I can see my streak breaking again soon, as they'll probably start using words like in the NYT crossword.
At least they haven't made it exclusive to subscribers. Yet.

I really hope they don't change it too much, or make it subscription. I did see they aren't going to use plurals - like Canuckle does. I've taken to using a starting word for Canuckle that ends in S just to see if I'm looking for a 5 letter word or a plural 4 letter word.

You know, I've wondered before if those of us who post early might inadvertently be helping others solve the puzzle. But most times I think it would take more time to figure it out, than to just solve the puzzle.

I normally don't, but since my starter word gave me the last two letters I got curious and decided to try and figure it out.
