Wild cat

About a week ago my mom noticed that there was a stray cat wandering around our neighborhood. It looks like it had been run over a while ago because it's tail is messed up looking and it's limping on it's back legs. It won't come near to us because it's probably afraid of people. We've been feeding it the last week and it's eaten all of the food everyday. We don't know what to do with it, though. Help us!11

You should try renting out a cat trap and baiting it, and putting it where the cat is most often seen. Then hopefully you'll be able to catch it and you can take it to the vet to see what's going on with the back legs.
