All reds are in practice tabbies too, typically mackerel tabbies. He is unusual in that, he seems to be a spotted tabby, Not unique, but not the common. It could be very much broken mackerel tabby, but as I see on this little pic, I think he may be spotted for real. Im glad you both got a good life together!
