I specialize in pointed Persians, and recently added a new girl to my program. I initially thought she was a tortie but she’s definitely got either blue or lilac coloring. What would you call her coloring?

I think her face is too dark to be a lilac or blue tortie; I'd go with chocolate tortie. She does appear to have some color variation around her face and on her tail, which is why I say tortie.

Oh wow, abyeb abyeb , really? That’s even better!! I don’t have any experience with chocolate points yet (I’m somewhat new to breeding Persians—around 2 Years. And points are my most recent avenue ) so this has been interesting learning all the differences between each and every possible point combination. Come to think of it, she’s definitely not lilac because her pads are mostly brown (I think) with the exception of a random pink pad (the tortie obviously showing through). If my memory serves, lilacs have all pink pads, right?
I’ll freshen up my knowledge on the chocolate, lilac and blue points. If you know of any helpful links with info pertaining to such identification explanations I’d be most grateful :)

Update— so apparently chocolate points have cinnamon pink pads. Does this ring true to torties as well? I’ll have to double check her pads but I think some are brown and some are pink. :dunno:

Chocolate torties have brick red, cinnamon pink, and/or pink paw pads. I think brick red paw pads look kind of brownish... maybe other posters can confirm. The fact that your girl has multicolored paw pads does mean that she is for sure a tortie.

Yes, you’re right! And hers are a brick or cinnamon color (I think- I’ll double check when I get home). At first sight they almost look brown but if memory serves, once you move all her toe fur out of the way lol, I think it is.
