What Color Are My Cuties?

Just curious about what color descriptions would be used for these two little cuties.
Lula on the top, Cassidy on the bottom. They are litter mates, 10 weeks old, they had one other littermate she was a tortie and Mama is a Siamese mix, daddy unknown.

I think Lula could best be described as a silver mackerel tabby Domestic Shorthair, and Cassidy a smoke classic tabby Domestic Shorthair. The way Cassidy's pattern comes through is what makes me think smoke for her; but it could be the lighting in the photo. Is the bottom of her hair shaft lighter?

They are both very cute kittens! And their coloring isn't very commonly seen with mixed breed cats.

Yes, Cassidy does seem to be lighter beneath the surface of her fur. The fur also feels different, thickish.

Okay! Then it seems she is a smoke.
