What Breed/breeds Do You Think My Cat Has In His Gene Pool!?

This is Nova as a kitten at 8 weeks.

And this is Nova at 5 and a half months!

I am curious to know what breeds Nova may be. Nova is definitely not a full breed and I got him off a private owner, who believed their cat (the Mum) was part Persian. However, Nova is very intrigued by water, he climbs into the shower with me and always into the sink when running the bathroom or kitchen tap. I can fling water at him and he plays with it. He is very loyal to me and will also bring me his toys to play with. His markings are very distinct and has a white tip on his tail (which I love). Anyone know what he may have in his gene pool?

We may perhaps suspect a Turkish Van as the main culprit. Being harlequine isnt very far from van pattern.

I think possible Turkish Van ancestry is a good assessment- especially since Nova loves water! Turkish Vans are known for that.
