So what brand of sardines do you buy for your kitties? Or are all brand of sardines mostly created equal?

Also, I am assuming that you are buying sardines intended for human consumption, right?

One of my kitties has a mild case of dandruff and I am going to give sardines a go before I look into other remedies.

As always, thank you for taking the time to reply. Have a fun day!

I buy the ones in olive oil and nothing else added.. yes the human ones, they are cooked... some say they can get raw ones( I would not use them with kitty IMHO

double check with your vet prior .... salmon or fish oil would be cheaper and easier

The only reason I feed Sardines is for the Omega 3 content, so I buy "packed in spring water, no salt added" Sardines and feed ~one fish per week per cat. These ARE cooked and meant for human consumption, but if I could readily get my hands on raw Sardines, I'd feed those instead. I'm not particular about the brand so much as I am providing as natural an Omega 3 source as I can.

Hope this is useful to you, Dave. And have a fun day yourself!
