This is most likely a very silly question and most definitely not one deserving its own thread, but who, or what, are the robots amongst us?

From what I can tell, most of them are from search engines constantly updating and indexing their information. I am not an expert, and someone else may know more about this.

Eh? That sounds really creepy! I forget that the eye in the sky is watching us at all times. Hmm, ignorance to what robots are might have been better than knowing their reality. I should learn to mind my own business and not ask questions that might cause the heebie-jeebies.

It is a little creepy. Big Brother is out there. But maybe we should be pleased that the information on this website is deemed worthy of research and constant updating. I found this website through an internet search. Google might not have steered me here without the information provided by these robots. Just a thought.
