My 5 month old kitten has been having loose stools on and off for a few months. I have her on boiled chicken and rice with probiotics, pumpkin and Metamucil. I want to keep her on that with the addition of a supplement or add-in. I liked u -stew and wondered if anyone has tried it. I'd like to switch all my cats to it too because just when I almost have Blu ok... She gets some canned food and I'm back to square one! Plus her coat looks better now that's she's off canned foods.
Thanks

From the company Better In The Raw?  I used their supplement for raw meat and would gladly use it again.  I highly recommend this company.

Can that be used for cooked meat? I'm looking to do home-cooked food.

U-stew is designed for cooked meat.

From this thread, Home-cooked Cat Food Resources http://www.thecatsite.com/t/264153/home-cooked-cat-food-resources

Nutritional Supplements (Premixes)

Note: Some are designed to make just meat complete; others require liver and/or a source of calcium to make the recipes balanced & complete. For most, a source of fiber is optional (which can be important for IBD kitties or as a method to lower fat for specific medical reasons). Some of these were designed with raw feeding in mind, but provide appropriate supplemental nutrition for home-cooked food. Please ensure you purchase the correct supplement for the recipe you intend to use.

Peaches08 had a good experience with it! :D

Like everything - it really depends on the individual cat. ;)

It is a quality product. I hope that helps. :)

What's going on with her stomach?  My cats had terrible diarrhea on canned, but cleared right up on raw.  Home-cooked is a fine option to try, and if I were feeding home-cooked instead of raw I would be look at the U-Stew product for sure.  I don't know the difference between their raw meat supplement vs their cooked meat supplement, but I imagine it has to do with supplementing for something lost during cooking.  If you're going to always cook the food, I'd use the U-Stew.

Thanks! She has pudding poop that started to get better and then she ate other cats canned food ( she was eating spots stew other cat FF) and then back to pudding. It cleared up in past with chicken and rice etc so trying again but she looks so much better not eating the canned I want to continue with cooked food.
