I just got an incredibly heart warming email from Frank, the man who adopted my foster, Filbert, last Thursday. They even gave me a bottle of wine to thank me! If only I could find such wonderful homes for ALL of my fosters. I just wanted to share the email with you as it made my entire night and I'm sitting here wiping away happy tears.
"Hi, Kailie.
Just wanted to let you know that we absolutely love little Filbert. He is, bar none, the friendliest and most loveable kitty we have ever known or seen.
When he sits on you, its like he uses his entire body to hug you. As if he's trying to crawl right under your skin. He's such a delight to have in our home.
Most cats we've had hid for 3 days under a bed before they were brave enough to explore their new home. Not Filbert. He ran around exploring his new surroundings as soon as we let him out of the carrier.
He keeps me in stitches all the time. You never know what he is going to do. He's wonderful.
Thank you again for taking him and the other kittens in. You are really an angel to all these cats.
He saw the vet tonight and the vet absolutely loved him. He purred the entire time (Filbert, not the vet) and when I explained that Filbert was one of many kittens scheduled to be put down and you took them in,Dr. Blaney said "Thank God for Kailie".
And he is right. If not for you, we would have missed out on having this wonderful kitty in our home. I should have got you a bigger bottle of wine.
Oh, he passed his examination with flying colors. Perfect health.
Thanks again.
Pics coming soon.
Frank"
