Terrarium into Aquarium

Is it possible to use a terrarium for an underwater garden? I want to start an underwater garden in my 5 gallon terrarium, but I need to know if that is a wise decision. I know that terrariums are for land animals, but right now it is holding 2 gallons and has no leaks. Its been cleaned several times and has only housed anoles a year ago. It has no lid, but I will be getting a screen top for it.

Is it ok to use it for the garden?

Well it now holds 4 gallons and no leaks. I have put the plants in and added dechlorinator and PlantGro. My cats have left it alone this far, and hopefully they will remain to acknowledge it.

If it's holding water with no problem then go for it!!
