Hello! My Scottish fold kitten is about 5 months now. I got him from a breeder and only one parent had a folded ear gene. Her brother from the same litter has a normal flexible tail but her tail is shorter side and is very stiff. It stays kind of straight and couldn't curl or wrap around something. She is playful and runs around but not like her brother, I assume that the male is more energetic. Should I be concerned?

There is a possibility that she may have the bone and arthritis problems that some Scottish Folds have. Discuss this with your veterinarian. Xrays can determine if she is going to have problems.😟

Also Google Scottish Fold and research their genetic problems that can be passed on. Even though only one parent was folded, its possible that the straight parent passed on the gene that causes those issues.

I love Scottish Folds..... do you have a photo of your kitten ?
