over the last few days my cat has started to develop scabby spots on her skin (mainly stomach area), it started off with 1 or 2 and within a day has spread to about 15. she doen't seem to be in any pain but i would like to know what is the cause. the spots are about 1/4 cm big.

No idea - But get her to a vet asap
I don't have any answeres. But you need to have it checked out by yourvet. If they are appearing that fast somethings wrong.
