Oh my! I hope all went well and that all 4 kittens are latching and nursing well. This still does not negate the fact that mom should not be allowed outside until after she is spayed after the kittens begin to wean around 8 weeks.

And, to be very specific, and especially since you quoted what I said before, a discarded kitten grows into a full cat who needs to be neutered. If not, they are fully capable of impregnating female cats at will. So mom was not spayed, and if you have a male cat, he needs neutering. Then mom needs spaying before she can mate again. It’s healthy for all.
