My cat, Poncho, has a large lump on his front leg. This will be the third time the lump will be removed and each time it grows back bigger. I have to take him to a specialist, an Orthopedic Surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon specializes in limp saving surgeries. I want to try to save the leg without the lump coming back if at all possible. I don't know how life threatening the lump is so if it means loosing the leg to save his life then that is what will happen. The first visit and CT scan will cost $1,000 plus an expensive Uber ride there and back that I don’t have the money for. I don’t know how much the surgery will cost and won’t know until I can afford the first visit, CT scan and Uber ride. I'm still asking family and friends for a ride up there and back. Uber and Lyft have a track record of having no drivers.

He's still a young cat and in good health otherwise. I have opened an account with Facebook Fundraiser www.facebook.com/donate/1029291084555674/ and Go Fund Me gofund.me/80cf0c94 hoping to get some help. The amounts I put on the accounts is based on what I was able to find for the cost of cats with cancer. I will adjust the amounts to reflect an actual quote as soon as I can afford the first visit to get one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone would be more comfortable giving directly to the vet I'll be more then happy to give them that information. And I will answer any questions anyone has. Also, thank you to the MOD for allowing the post.

DO remember that, if the worst should happen, your baby will very quickly adjust to only having three legs, and that within a couple of weeks, will be acting just like he always has! Nor will he give it another thought. You'll be the one suffering over it, not him!

Also, I'm going to call the surgeon this week and see if they'll set up an account number that way I have that to give to anyone who wants it plus I can start filling out paperwork and giving copies of his records so everything will be ready when I take him in for the first visit as soon as I have enough money to do so. I will keep everyone informed every step of the way.

Sounds like it would be less expensive to take the leg than to keep having to deal with the lump coming back. I am surprised it took this many times before any discussion of just removing the leg occurred.
