I've been off work these past two days and have devoted the entire time focusing on Turtle.
I went to PetSmart early on Monday and bought cat nip, a laser, feliway, and a toy called Da Bird, along with a scratching post. So we've been busy bonding.
It's been going along amazingly. She's so receptive to me now. She helps herself to my lap whenever I sit down and purrs so loudly the couch vibrates! I'm still holding back a little and letting her come to me first, but that's not going to last much longer because I just think she's the cutest little thing I've ever seen! How much longer can I go on without rubbin' that belly??
She does let me kiss her on the forehead when she's on my lap and will even position herself on my chest so that I don't have to bend too far over to kiss the spot.
So we're moving forward to the next phase of our relationship. It's great having her. She's getting used to the sounds and smells of her new home.
In the beginning, I didn't give much thought to falling in love with her. It was all about getting her into a safe place and having a piece of Cheryl with me. However, something strange is happening to my Heart.
When I'm not home I think about her; when she's asleep in a different room I creep in to watch her sleep. I go shopping and go to the cat toys/food section first.
"I" have become "We" and it's a nice, warm feeling.
