May the Valley of the Shadow of Death recede in thine rearview - and stay there

A bit more than a year ago, one of my cats, Honey Bun aka Tar Baby had a close brush with death. She suffered an intestinal blockage caused by, apparently, a hairball in turn caused by overgrooming caused by a fever she got from fleas.

She's much much better now.

Here she is in her recliner in my home office a few minutes ago.

This was taken about a year ago just back from the vet's after a weeklong stay during which they fed her liquid till she got rid of the blockage. All that hair hides how bony she was underneath it.

So, if anyone else has a great recovery, and pictures, maybe share.

Sometimes disaster creeps up on cat feet, but can be repulsed as happened to Honey Bun. Her situation was truly dire, and she'd have died without the right attention, but she got the right attention and here she is. For a while longer, hopefully a long while longer. She's nice and plump, like one of those plus-size fashion models.

I haven’t any similar stories to tell, just want to say I love seeing Honey Bun’s recovery (and her excellent editorial skills).
