These are my main coons from different shelters. The short hair is about 2.5 years old, 12 pounds, female, and the long hair is almost 2 years, 13 pounds, female. Both were spayed last July. Apparenly getting them spayed affects hair growth. I know they are main coons because of the M on their heads. The short hair has me baffled though since main coons have long hair. Let me know if any more pictures are needed.

All tabbies have the M :D. I doubt they have any purebred background. They're fine looking ladies, that's for sure!

Ahh the M is on mackeral tabbies. So they're just very mixed with a tabby pattern? I also thought they had maine coon in them because they are very gentle and cuddly. Also quite large for female cats at their age.

Well, Maine Coons are descended from the big shaggy farmcats that are common in the Northern parts of the US, so they could certainly be from the same stock as purebred Maine Coons :D.
