At my moms for a bday party and the out of town neighbors kitten wandered into the yard. Moms German shepherd bit her one time and the kitten appears to not have any external wounds, but it wont stop open mouth panting. I dont have the money to take it to the vet

I hate to say it, but even without visible injuries, the kitten could have internal injuries or could be in shock from the trauma. A vet is necessary as both of these are life threatening and need immediate care.

Our last dog was a Shepherd so I am very familiar with the breed. They have a powerful bite, therefore, you should contact an emergency vet, explain what happened and ask their opinion. Please don't let the expense interfere with your decision, refer to the Article I posted above.

That kitten needs a vet, contact rescues and the shelter to see if any is willing to take the kitten.
