What do you use for flea control? I just orderd frontline from 1800petmeds. I used them last year and liked them.
Hmmm... My vet lets me do it. No prescription. I just bought Frontline at the pet store.Originally Posted by Weatherlight
That's a violation of federal law (not just company policy), and can be dangerous for the cats, I hope you know. Don't you need a vet's prescription, like with Advantage?
It is the exact same formula, whether for dogs or cats. Specifically, 9.7% fipronil, 90.3% inert ingredients. While it certainly is not what Merial would want (read more profits for them), it is an excellent way to administer flea control to multiple pets,if one takes the time to find out how to do it properly. Your vet says it's ok to divide Frontline for dogs and use that on your cats? Especially considering that it probably says so on the box, I can't believe he wouldn't know that's illegal.
