I had him scanned for a microchip before deciding to keep him and the vet hospital said that they did not find one.

He has a chip now, though. I microchipped him myself last March.

Excellent!    Very wise, not that he looks to be going anywhere.

Mouse likes to keep an eye on his territory too.
