Well I just saw Iron Man 2 last night. It was a really good sequel, as far as sequels go. But I didn't think Don Cheadle was the right person to play Rhodey. I thought Terrence Howard did a much better job in the first one. Robert Downey jr. was still perfect for the role of Tony Stark/Iron Man. He provided quite a bit of comic relief just like the first one but he also did the more serious scenes very well. And with Mickey Rourke and Samuel L. Jackson joining the cast, how can you go wrong?
Mickey Rourke plays the part of Ivan Vanko, son of Anton Vanko, a great scientist who worked with Tony Stark's father, Howard, until Howard removed him from their final project. He becomes the villain of the movie and tries to kill Tony Stark as revenge for what Howard did to his father. He becomes Whiplash, for those of you familiar with the comics. If you aren't familiar with the comics, Whiplash carries 2 whips with a very powerful electric charge running through them.
Samuel L. Jackson plays the character Nick Fury. He is the leader of a group called S.H.E.I.L.D. He helps Tony Stark defeat Whiplash by making him finish his father's research.
It's a very well done movie with a great balance of action and comedy. And it follows the comics, more or less. It has a great cast and is one of the better sequels you will see. If you liked the first Iron Man, you will like this one just as much.
