I have a cat that is borderline hyperthyroid. Since she is not on medication for HT yet so I am trying to feed her things that have no iodine, kelp, or that is low in iodine & iodized salt. I am preparing most of her meals but I know she needs vitamin supplements. My thinking is, if I'm careful with her diet she may not get hyperT. The problem is I can't find food or a vitamin/mineral supplement that doesn't contain iodine, kelp, or iodized salt. I am also feeding her senior wet science diet occ but it contains iodized salt. Anyone have any suggestions where to find these low iodine products? Thanks.
