hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

My little guy (well, the smallest of my 3) was just diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy this week

When I asked if he was in the early stages, she said that "he definitely has the disease but is not in Heart Failure"... She has perscribed Dilitazem for him, and we will be repeating the Ultrasound in 4 months.

Is anyone else dealing with this? I know that there is a possibility of many years before heart failure, but he is only 3.. I feel so helpless.

I only want to offer you support and lots of strong love and caring vibes sent your way. I have no experience with this, but I'm sure somebody will pick up your post really soon. I would feel helpless too! I am crossing my fingers for your little one.
