How Long?? (Weight Loss)

The girl at the vet said 6 months. I guess 2.5 lbs. is a lot for a 14.5 lb. cat. It's almost 1/4 of his body weight.
My cats are inside boys, never go out at all. They have both been neutered and declawed.
They wrestle with one another and play with their little furry mice toys and balls.

Any advice will be appreciated.

I think that 2.5 lbs is a lot to lose in 6 months. Like you say almost a 1/4 of his body weight! Especially as you cant up the exercise that much. What have they recommended feeding or is it just cut down on the food you give now?

What are you currently feeding them including any treats you give on a daily or every other day basis, and how much at a time? How do you feed them - free feed or a measured amount twice a day or?
