The weather in my area has gotten really hot and humid with temperatures reaching over 95.

I noticed since the hot weather, my kitties haven't been eating as robustly as they usual do? They will leave a good portion of their wet food in the bowl and not go back to it. Is this normal?

Pretty much it is, you can help them out by leaving some water in your sink or bathtub just a tiny bit and putting their food bowls in the tub. They will fight it at first, but if it is really hot they will welcome their feet staying cool while they eat.

Plain yogurt is good for cats on a hot summer day

Thanks Hissy. I will try putting their bowls in the tub tonight and see what happens. I always have a large plastic cup full of water on my sink for Gabby Girl. She loves to drink and visit me when I get ready for work in the morning.

Oh and thanks for the tip on the plain yogurt. I will try that as well!

I have the really odd cats that weather doesn't effect how much they eat!! They are a bit less active however and like laying on the bed where the ceiling fan is above them.
