CHICAGO, June 15 (Reuters) - Extreme heat and humidity killed thousands of cattle in Kansas in recent days, the state said, and sizzling temperatures continue to threaten livestock.
Keep in mind = This terrible reality should come with the realization that the pet food industry will now have this much more supply than they had before. Cattle that have died other than from slaughter are not to be sold as human food, they go to rendering plants to become pet food and other things. If the pet food companies use this as a reason to raise prices write your congress people and the companies. It won't change the companies policies, but it's good for them to know you see what's happening- my comment
