Hairball medicine

I gave yasmine her normal hairball remedy medicine..which is the brown stuff in the tube...and about 3 minutes after licking it up she threw up twice. Anyone know why this happened? She doesnt seem to feel bad, nor is she acting strange...puzzles me.

Some of the furball remedy stuff says not to be given around meal times...I'm not sure what type you use but that could be the problem???..maybe your kitty ate some food before the medicine?

Its "Kittymalt" Hairball Remedy Malt Flavored..its just a brown gel that the vet told me to use about once a week....

NO there wasnt any fur....only food.
