I was driving along this morning, when I spotted this poor turtle in the middle of the road, flailing its legs, and trying to cross the road. I stopped to pick him up, and put him on the grass. He was very grateful, but I think the other motorists thought I was crazy for helping him.
(This is not the actual photo, I don't have one). Yep. It was a truck tire re-tread.
I named him "Slowsky". He's very low-maintenance, eats almost nothing, and is good with cats.
