Domestic Longhair...which ancestry?

Hi! I have adopted a stray about a year ago. He is a beautiful boy with a whooping 15lb. Not microchipped. The vet has him down as a DLH but I fancy playing the guessing game as to his ancestry. Let me know what you think!

He is beautiful, with his ruff around his neck, and big bushy tail, and his size he could be a Main Coon cat.

Hi to TCS. Your cat has the traits of Maine coon, From what I have learned, several things indicate this. 1. The rectangular shape over all, hairy tipped ears, angular eyes, turf of hair on paws pads, massive tail and weight. The coat is described as brown tabby, He is also pointed, meaning white paws.

Where are you living, Zsofia?  If its in Europe, he could have a Siberian ancestry.  In USA too, but not very probable..
