Dehydrator Question

I've got two chili plants. One on the windowsill which at the moment has 4 chilies on it and a few more buds. The other is in my hydroponic unit and has a lot of buds on it, one already forming into a chili.

My question is, how long does it take to dry chilies in a dehydrator? Mine is an Andrew James dehydrator (from Amazon).

Hi, I think about 7-8 hours.

When they're completely dry, they won't bend; they will snap. That's what you want.

Either halve them or slice into strips. You can keep the seeds, pith, etc if you want to keep the peppers hotter.
