When I was a child I wanted to be a librarian. Still think that was a very good idea. I also wanted to leave England and live in New York City. I ended up as a legal secretary (now retired), but I did live in NYC for a decade.

My best friend and I both wanted to be special ed teachers. We were told by our guidance counselor that there was a glut of teachers (which was true) and that we'd never find a job. Instead I went into caring for the elderly (nurse's aide, home health aide) until my back couldn't take it any more.
As a child I wanted to be a Vet. lol Right along with every other girl in my class. haha I also wanted to be a mommy. I got one of those. I'd still like to work with animals someday.
