Hi. I have a 3 year old male white deaf cat (I am not the first owner). He’s been a great cat. We thought we would get him a companion ... I adopted a 2 year old female Siamese who was sweet and typically clingy. I spent three weeks plus introducing them and she would have none of him, and he began acting traumatized one day so I decided the Siamese had to go. He naturally searched the house and that night he was back to his old self (slept with me in his usual snuggly way); same morning routine as usual the next day. Then later in the very day he starting hiding, won’t let me or my roommate go near him or pet him. I really can’t wrap my head around his being just fine after the Siamese was gone and within a day acting like he hates us. Please help.

Cats do not like change and I suspect the new cat being in his space and now isn't has unsettled him. Give him time to settle back down and let him do it in his own time.

Do you think cat calming scents will help? I’ve looked into the plug in type
They work for some cats but not all. Rub catnip on your hands and put your hand towards him, hopefully he will approach you then stroke him.
