Cat breathing hard before/while sleeping

Hey guys, I just stumbled upon this site tonight, my question is..

Our cat Peanut, he is about a year old, we saved him when he was a baby but recently I've noticed before he goes to sleep / while he's sleeping it seems like hes almost panting or breathing hard, his stomach is moving really fast, now when hes awake and active, he don't do this.. is there a reason he does it when he's sleeping.. and sometimes his purring sounds like snoring..

I don't have any idea what could be wrong, but if you're concerned, call the vet and explain the situation: maybe he/she can give you some advice...

I hope it's nothing serious.
