Tonight I was taking out the trash and when I came out there were three cats playing (everyone in my area let their cats be indoor/outdoor as far as I know).
I have been told about these three.
One called furball came when I called and let me pet him. He belongs to a man in the area who's wife has been in the hospital and has not been himself, so the people across the street have taken him in until he is up to taking care of him again (they also own the other two).
The other two came close, one (I don't know her name, only that her "mommy" calls her lovingly, the bitch, because of the way she rules the house) came about four feet away and watched me, running whenever I moved to close.
But the one that really got ot me was the tabby. This poor little guy is the sweetest cat. He used to "help" my grandma in the garden and loved to get petted. This poor cat is so loving he ran to greet his owners when they came home. One day he ran up a bit to soon (right under the wheel) and got his leg ran over. He had to have it removed. But he still moves around perfectly. In fact he was chasing the other two cats around the area of four yards, it was pretty cute. For some reason he wouldn't let me quiet pet him, I got within 5 inches and he would turn away, but I didn't want to force myself on him.
Is there anything I should be aware of when petting him? I know it sounds odd, but I'm more worried about hurting him then other cats. I shouldn't, but I can't seem to help myself...
