Can someone pleaseeeee tell me how to get rid of alerts? I constantly have a notification and I can’t figure out how to delete them or mark them as read.

Have you tapped on that bell with the red 7? That will give you a drop down menu of those seven alerts. You can then tap on each of them which will take you to the thing you got the alert for (either a reaction to a post you made or a response to your post) which will decrease your alerts by each one you tap on.

Or you can “Show All” which is at the bottom of that list of alerts when you tap on the bell. That should also make the red number disappear.

You can also go into your preferences and change your alert settings. Preferences also shows up as a selection at the bottom of the Alerts drop down menu.

Thank you!! I had been clicking show all and clicking each one but it wasn’t doing anything. This time I noticed there’s a “mark as read” button that did it. Phew!
