I understand that a lot of the cat foods at chain stores (Petsmart, Petco...etc) are not ideally the best foods for your cat. But for those limited to the selection at the chain stores... what are some of the best of the rest brands at these stores?
My little Frodo (not so little anymore ) is now over 9 months old and he still jumps on your chest and kneeds your neck and suckles and licks your earlobes. Is this normal behaviour? Will it stop? Should this behaviour be discouraged?
Got my camera out to take a video of Frodo... and for the life of me... I couldn't get him up to move around for any action shots.
It's a hot, humid summer day and Frodo is content on lounging around it appears.

The weather is turning for the better and Frodo is longing for the outdoors:

As he is an indoor only cat... I refuse to let him out - No matter how brightly the sun shone. So the sneaky little fella grabbed my car keys and snuck out. How...
Haven't posted pics of Frodo for a while, so here goes. He's nearing full size now (9months).... or so I hope.

"*Sniff* *Sniff*.... How do you open this darn contraption??!!??"
"GRRRRRRR!!!! Why...why... why must they tempt me so??!!??"

"I was just standing guard....yeah....that's it...standing guard...keeping these darling goldies safe. "
I have been looking around trying to find good online source/pet stores. I was wondering if anyone has some good recommendations?
For those of you that buy cat supplies/toys/etc online... what do you buy and where do you buy it from?
Does anyone know of any sites/links that have a comprehensive listing of available cat foods... their nutritional breakdowns... and their comparative rankings with other cat foods?
Would be of great interest and use.
There must be a wealth of ideas here on what makes good cat toys... and what doesn't make good cat toys.
Frodo now has the usual balls, chew toys, mice, and such. But I was wondering if he is missing out on something that would really get him excited and occupied for hours on end...
Looking for cat trees... was advised to look on Ebay, but most the ones I find there only ship to the US. Anyone here know of good sources for cat trees in Canada or will ship to Canada?
When we first got Frodo, we were informed that he had a minor case of ear mites. We purchsed some Ear Cleaner with eucalyptol and treated him with it. He has long since stop scratching his ear and hasn't shown signs of ear mites. Question is... do we still use the Ear Cleaner on a regular...
Hi everyone. We have a couple of medium size scratching post/toys combo things, that Frodo uses now and then.
Was thinking the other day, as Frodo grows older and bigger... he may outgrow those scratching posts.
Do cats love those big cat condos with multi-levels and perches? Is it...
Hi everyone,
A couple of photos of Frodo the day after he was neutered. Already up and around and up to his mischievious self.
Frodo: "Yum.... drool....yum..."
Frodo: "I was just looking... I wasn't gonna do anything....honest.... "
Hi everyone. Currently, I am feeding Frodo (my almost 6 month old kitten) Nutro Max Cat for kittens, Science Diet canned kitten food, cat grass, and occasionally cat grass and cat milk.
I was wondering if the types of food and brand that I am feeding is okay... or are there any deficiencies...
When clipping your kitty's nails... do you clip both the front and back paws... or only the front paws? I remember vaguely reading somewhere that one doesn't have to clip the front paws... and I can't recall why.
