I have used Dr Elseys in the blue bag and now I'm using SoPhresh (from petco). I bought it on a whim. My cat doesn't seem to care about type of litter.
I scoop 1-2x a day. 2x is always better.
I use the jumbo disposable litter box inside of a storage bin. It gets tossed every 4-6 weeks.
I have one cat as well and use Dr Elseys litter. Thus far, I add litter a couple times during the week. Well I'm a new cat owner so don't really have a set routine other than scooping twice a day (faithfully). I also use a disposable box inside of a sterilite container.
My cat does something similar. I see him scooping it out with his paw and tossing it on the floor to eat it. I vacuum daily anyway so have an extra large mat for him.
I was considering putting a collar on my cat just while we get adjusted to his routine and behavior. I don't think it is cruel as long as the collar isn't too tight or damaging the skin/fur.
HI,
I'm joining here to learn more about cats behavior and needs so our new guy can have a good long life with us.
I have a 1.5 year old cat from a rescue/foster. Never had a pet other than fish.
This is Tig (for now as my kids can't decide on a new name).
