My cat will be in her carrier for 7 hours all total, getting to the airport, on the plane and driving to our destination. Does anyone
have a suggestion for what I could line her carrier with in case she has an accident, like any special type of piddle pad. Thank you.
Thank you for your rely and for the web site to Tanya’s guide to feline kidney disease, I’ll check it out.
Went through this six yrs ago with my cat who lived to be eighteen with kidney disease. Never thought I’d
adopt another cat so I discarded all the health notes I compiled with him, now...
Thank you for your message, I appreciate the information. The potassium was the only test that came back below the normal levels, so the vet suggested having the test taken again in several months to compare.
I said good-bye to my cat I had for 18 yrs due to kidney disease and from that...
My cat Daisy who is 11 yrs. old had her yearly vet check with blood work that showed her potassium low and her Na;K Ratio
high. Is there any way to improve these levels without going on a prescription cat food that sells for $6.25 lb.?
Thank you. Daisy is doing fine, her appetite is slightly diminished, but I suspect it's because of the new surroundings. If she would lose a pound it wouldn't hurt her, she gained 3 lbs. + since I adopted her in January, she weighs a heavy 14lbs!!!
Enjoy your furry friends, they are so...
Hello:
This is an update on Daisy, she's in Wisconsin and she's fine.. But she wasn't last week Saturday after I gave her the tranquilizer (Clonozepan) that her vet prescribed for her. Within a half hour after taking the pill she had a paradoxical reaction, which lasted almost twelve hours...
I phoned Daisy's holistic vet this afternoon and asked if she could give her something for her anixity because nothing she suggested to date seems to be helping and we're traveling tomorrow. She gave her Clonazepam, 2mg and instructed me to give her half a pill tomorrow morning, the calming...
I agree, I try everything seperately. Her vet suggested lavender and tested her for it, but it wasn't positive, like it was for Valerian. Please send Daisy good thoughts so her travels are uneventful. And again thank you all for your helpful suggestions..
Thank you for your suggestion, it's appreciated.
Yesterday I bought a new carrier, placed it next to her old one, she took one look at it and left the room, didn't return until the new carrier was out of site! Today I got some Comfort Zone with Feliway, I sprayed her carrier, now after her nap...
Thank you for your suggestions. I am now feeding her in the carrier and she has no problem with that, I guess it's because she enjoys eating! I am also going to see if Pet Calm (1ml) will have any positive effect. Hopefully we'll find a solution.
