I'd be careful with that. You don't want to swing the pH too much one way or the other. I wouldn't use it unless a vet told me it was ok.

I did a search on AAFCO pet food ingredient definitions and everything said there is no AAFCO definition for oat groats.

Which dry foods (with grains) have carbs in the low 20s? The lowest I've seen is 25%. I also don't want to feed any foods with glutens in it since the pet food recall.

Innova is no grainier than any other at 28.88% carbs. I've been using Innova for the past year and am very satisfied with it. Also, 100% of their ingredients come from US sources. I doubt many companies can say that.

I used to work at a Petco in NY state as a demonstrator. The place was infested with mice at one point. The manager told me it was from the warehouse. There were chewed up bags of pet food & mouse crap everywhere. It was disgusting.
