I use a mix of stainless steel, plastic and ceramic dishes. 8 cats with 2 dishes each plus several water dishes, not to mention the dogs too, means lots of washing up in my house
We got a 3 year old cavalier about 6 months ago and a 1 year old jack russell a couple of months later, they both settled in very quickly with the 8 cats
Due to unforeseen moving day problems our cats spent over 12 hours in their carriers when we moved house. I'm happy to report that they slept the entire time
Our cats have access to the bedroom so there are usually one or two of them asleep on the bed. This morning i woke up to 5 of them curled up on the bed, 2 on a cat tree at the end of the bed and another sprawled across a rug beside the bed.
You could turn her carrier into a bed for her. Put it somewhere quiet with a nice, soft blanket inside. One of mine was terrified of going into a carrier and this worked for her.
We'd been wanting a dog for a long time when we had the chance to home to yorkies, vicious little cat hating things they were. We admitted defeat a couple of days later and it took a couple of weeks for the cats to return to normal after their ordeal
Recently we had the opportunity to try...
Buffy, Kendra, Robin and Caleb are named for characters from 'buffy', Tinga is also named for a tv character. Cadbury, Blue and Thomas were already named and pretty much suit their names so we didn't change them. Latest arrival is Cody the dog, not sure where we got her name !
We had out tree in the cat free dining room last year, this year we're going to be brave and try it in the living room. I'll be very surprised if it lasts a weekend
