My automatic thought was "poor babies", because that is how I pretty much feel about all the fur kids when working with them. I've had two completely feral.
One I got moved in the house and he has changed so drastically over time you wouldn't think he was the same cat.
He used to be very...
I'm thinking your intruder cat may have been dumped or a lost cat that sees your cat house as a good and safe place to sleep.
It would probably be a good idea to trap and spay/neuter if you can.
It seems that cat is trying to be accepted into your little colony. Somehow, some way those fur kids...
You have some very beautiful kitties there.
I have about 15 cats now living with me, (another 3 coming around for food), and all of them started out as feral/stray/abandoned.
The way it has worked with me is....
I start feeding and working toward touching each time I set food down...
There are two things that will put tears in these old eyes. Happy kitty stories and sad kitty stories. This was the very good kind. Thank you for sharing that with us.
I really hope Leo is ok and returns home soon. I know he has been the glue that kind of kept your other kitties with you and he is such a beautiful good boy.
My prayers go out to you and your fur kids that you will all be reunited quickly.
You are such a wonderful mom to them. Maybe you could...
Thank you so much. I love the kitten with the cupcake!
I have to say that my kids and grandkids and one great granddaughter all go together and made it a very happy celebration for me.
First of all, Bravo and Thank You for taking this little guy in and caring for him. I had a little guy come into my house to eat when the weather was still cold a while back. I have been taking care of and taking in ferals and strays for about 12 years now so needless to say Mr. Deeds, (his name...
She's a pretty kitty and will no doubt grow into a beautiful adult cat. About the pronounced M on the head, quietlydestroyd is absolutely right about that having nothing to do with the breed of a cat.
One vet I have used called cats with the pronounced M "Mackerel Tabby". It was pretty funny...
I love reading about you and your fur kids adventures.
That picture with Torao and the mouse in the tree is quite amazing. I'm wondering how you managed to get that shot?
The last cat that moved in with me always eats his meal on the other side of the kitchen from all the rest. The reason it startd that way was to avoid fights, etc. since the other 15 weren't too happy about an interloper. That was over two years ago and he still eats his food in the same place...
Jack & Jill are simply too adorable!
The idea you had about using the onesies is brilliant. If I ever have to diaper Boo, you can be I will think of you and your successful idea.
I hope they outgrow their problems in time. Hugs and kisses to those sweet little babies.
Just thought I'd post a little update of hope, (maybe?).
I never did get any diapers for Boo. It took a while since her surgery for the Struvite stone, but she hasn't been wetting the bed lately.
When she first came home with me from the pound at about 10 weeks and already having a prolapsed...
I have two Drinkwell cat fountains in my house that seems to encourage sonme of the cats to drink a little more than they normally would
You might consider getting a fountain for Tom. He may like it.
In the meeantime, the suggestionsw maxiecat03 gave you are a very good thing to do.
Sending...
I think getting Pixel spayed would be a good thing to do. As you said, that would eliminate one worry.
What are you feeding Bamf? Perhaps that particular food doesn't agree with his system so well and a change might be the right thing to do.
Has he been dewormed? If not, it's possible he has...
I just have to say that your Kitty could be a twin to my Boo who is also a Manx. The following pic is when she was about 4 months old.
I also have one of those Bissel SpotBots and it does do am amazing job. Too bad my Hoover shampooer doesn't clean as good.
Are you feeding Kitty wet/soft...
I agree that your poor guy needs to see a vet.
It could be as serious as poisoning or a bad case of vertigo. Both of those things need medical treatment.
My Rocky had a bad case of vertigo last fall and scared me half out of my mind. Here's the link to that thread...
The Purina Layena is still less than $12.00 a bag here, so it is still cost effective. I never had a problem with odor, but I think the type of cat food they are eating may have something to do with that too.
The Arm & Hammer and Nature's Miracle seems to have a stronger scent than I remember...
I searched the thread and found nothing on this so I have to ask.
Do you have an opinion on Chicken Feed used as a litter? I used it for two or three years, but recently switched to Nature's Miracle and Arm & Hammer High Performance for the following reasons.
1. We have a problem with leaks in...
