We rescued a 5-6 week old kitten about 18 months ago.  I think the crate is a good idea especially since he is so young and small. The best flea meds usually come from the vet.

We usually have my mother in law come over and look over our 4 cats and dog.  She has a good rapport with them as she is a cat/animal person herself.  They really like her!
