Pork and rabbit are the number one favourites. Along with Quail , docs and mice. Turkey is ok as is beef. They hate lamb and duck. Venison is hit and miss! I need to find out which type of deer it comes from, I think that's what makes the difference.
We've tried Lhama, kangaroo and goat but none...
Yep sometimes their food looks like a slushy chunky liquid but it all get eaten eventually. The photo shows what's left after an hour, the quail and pigeon have already been moved to one bowl and other bowls blended.
Our cats get a range as the all prefer slightly different types. As most of them don't like whole offal we grind the kidney and liver with some heart and muscle meat on coarse then mix that with some extras ie bone broth, eggs, and some supplements, and then a whole load of large chunked muscle...
Six cats here, generally make an organ, heart grind/ mince with some muscle meat, then add whole eggs then chunks of meat around 3/4 of the total.
Harvey - fussy
Likes generally ground except Quail - loves it
Rabbit ground - loves
Pork ground- loves
Beef ground- ok
Lamb- hates
Duck- hates...
Thank you Sophie1 for putting your head above the parapet.. I do exactly the same with my raw feeding of six cats. Food is put out am and they graze on it. When finished new is put out. I know this is wrong to many people as they are free fed and eat as much as they want, however I do have to...
Small poultry such as Quail for a work out on the teeth. Not sure if this will give you enough bone. Here it is game season so we have plenty of pheasant, mallard and partridge at the butchers as well as rabbit and venison.

We have six cats four litter trays and all are whole prey or standard raw (80/10/5/5 plus supplements) they poop once every couple of days, no smell and small.
I'm a bad raw feeder for my six cats as I free feed. They are all so different. I have two pushy ones who eat straight away and prefer it cold out of the fridge, another who doesn't like anyone or cat to watch him, a nervy one who eats only on the stairs and another two who like it warm. We...
Thank you for your response and clarity. On registering our new cat with the new vet it was established this was standard greasy stud tail however this was a month ago and we had hoped it would have cleared thus any suggestions for easily available products would be appreciated before returning...
Not a major issue however last month we added to our clowder a lovely boy which had been kept back initially by a breeder for stud, however she decided to release him at 8 months and he was neutered before he came to us. He is gorgeous however even with brushing and a couple of washes with...
I think when you start on Raw your cat definately can over eat until they settle down to what they actually need. As mentioned homemade and whole prey make things much cheaper, in the UK Docs ( day old chicks) work out at 4p each! At most. The downside is you have to buy in large quantities...
I have two cats on this Bristol Cat study, we are asked to fill in regular questionnaires, our vets have to send body condition and teeth condition reports and we were asked for faecal samples. It's great to get these lectures and feed back regarding their research, our two are both raw fed and...
I'm not sure whether this will help you as I don't know if you are in the UK, but we have a company called Honeys that only use Organic certified meat, or wild shot rabbit, for their dog and cat food, also obviously omitting veg for the cats. It's also quite coarsely ground so more like...
Yes those mice bred for pet reptiles are safe, I do however ensure my supply comes from those that follow strict ethical standards regarding their life style, food and dispatch. Mine love mice but they are more expensive than Day old chicks ( Docs), which regarding ethics probably would be the...
I have five cats which eat a whole mix of whole and minced food so difficult to say, I would probably assess one chick and four small mice per cat as their only food. I tend to put out home made raw minced and chunked meals plus Docs,Doquail, and mice in separate bowls. Two cats don't touch the...
We do a bit of everything, we have five raw fed cats that all have preferences so........
I make fresh minced up liver, kidney, some heart and some muscle meat, then add to this mix cut chunked up meat and heart plus yolks of egg. To this I add TCFeline or Felini complete or correct ratios of...
In the UK we have access to Felini Complete from Zooplus which is a popular choice, I tend to get from the European site, however, TCFeline and mix in the correct ratios ie like I was doing two separate batches , one batch TCFeline another Felini complete then mix the two batches. That way I...
