Just a question about what commercial raw you guys use

Secreting, actually. Remember their primary function.... "Note that for raw-feeding purposes, meat, fat, skin, sinew, connective tissue, hearts, lung and gizzards are all considered muscle meat. They count toward the muscle meat percentage, not the organ requirement. Liver has its own...

Just a question about what commercial raw you guys use

I used NV for a while as well, I agree that it is high in bone, but easy enough to dilute with a bit of extra meat, like you say. I currently have one that is on a mix of Evo (canned) and Stella and Chewy's, he likes it quite a bit. I'll admit that rehydrating is much more convenient than...

Just a question about what commercial raw you guys use

For 'unusual' organs, you might not have to venture as far as you think. A lot of butchers can special order organs (secreting that aren't liver), they can be surprisingly cheap. I'm able to order lamb kidneys (no one likes these, I have to grind them up and use small quantities in the food...

Trouble getting cat back on raw after illness

Natural Factors is what I use as well for my more tummy sensitive boy who has had a few digestive issues in the past. Certainly seemed to help him out. He is actually quite drawn by the scent/flavor, so I use it as a topper as well for when he is being fussy about a meal.

Trouble getting cat back on raw after illness

This is what I use for my more sensitive boy who has had a few issues. It certainly seemed to help. He is actually attracted to the flavor or scent. If he is being picky, I actually use it as a topper.

    Bengal tummy

I have two bengals, only one (Yankee, the one in my avatar photo) ever had any issues with runny stools, and it was when switching commercial cat foods before I went raw/wet. The other one (Gizzer) is a feline garbage disposal with an iron gut. He can, and will eat anything, without reprise...

Pre-purchase checklist for transitioning to PMR diet

Obesity, maybe. Overfeeding is overfeeding. But no, there is no inherent danger from overfeeding raw, than there is from overfeeding kibble, or cupcakes, or whatever..

Very crumbly poop on raw diet

Triple this.  In general it's going to be dryer, firmer, and smaller (and far less stinky). As said, if you see them straining, or not going at all, or it becomes white-ish, you have too much bone content and should tip the ratio back with a bit more meat/bone.

New to TCS, wondering about Canadian options for raw meat

Will do. I asked for a shipping rate on Friday, I believe. I still haven't heard back. They're probably not in on the weekends. I'll let you know once I hear back.

New to TCS, wondering about Canadian options for raw meat

Hey there! I can help a bit with the Hare Tomorrow question. http://www.recorp.ca/order-live-pet-food.php Scroll down, they have chicks, quail, along with rats and mice of all sizes (worms and such too if you're brave). I haven't used them yet, but I have sent an inquiry for shipping costs on...
