    Diatomaceous Earth for tapeworms?

How much do you give each cat? We've got multiple cats and it says you can mix it with food but how do we give them the DE to make sure they get their dosage? We're afraid if we just mix it in with the food then one would get too much, not enough, etc. Thanks!!

Can I use Ovitrol for dogs on cats?

I know you can with the large dog regular advantage because that's what we currently do. But the dog shelter I work at uses Ovitrol and it's cheaper than advantage so I'm wondering if it's OK to use the large dog Ovitrol on cats with the same breakdown: =.08. What do you guys think?

    outdoor enclosure ideas? need help

We've got a huge 18x50 enclosure built. It's roughly about 900 sq ft. We built it about 5 yrs ago and have had nonstop problems. We are now at a point where we can renovate/update it. The ground is nothing but grass and dirt so it's always messy. The roof is just wire (except for an enclosed...

I took one of my kittens to the vet today & he dewormed him with strongid & sent me home with some clavamox to give him 2x a day. He also said to give him 15 ccs of gatorade every 15 minutes. I've been doing that for the last few hours & now he's got the squirts. Is this normal with what I'm...

    sick, skinny kitten. help?

Our little Skittles isn't feeling very good. We rescued him when he was about 4 weeks old & he's now about 4 months old. He's always been a strong eater. He was strictly eating dry food until we started feeding 2 younger kittens wet food & I would give him a little bit out of the can to eat. He...

How do I give kittens vaccines at home?

We have 10 kittens that we've recently rescued. On a side note real quick: we ordered 25 vaccines from Revival Health last month around the 9th because it was a paycheck that we knew we'd have the extra money to do so even though all the kittens just got old enough to start their shots. The...

    FLY problem! outside cat enclosure

Hey guys we've got a major fly problem. In the 5 years we've had this enclosure it's the first time it's been this bad. Of course with all the rain we've had here in Alabama lately we haven't been able to mow or weedeat so that might be a factor. But basically here's the problem: On one end of...

    WHAT to feed 71 cats?

We have rescued cats for the last 11 years and we now care for 71 cats...yes you read that right--71 :D We've bounced around from good food like taste of the wild & blue to horrible food like cat chow but we've never been able to financially keep them on the good food. They weren't eating less...

Help! 3 week old kittens with diarrhea

We took in a stray mama cat & she had 5 kittens & only 2 made it. She kept rolling over on them one by one but we think it's because she wasn't producing milk. We took her surviving 2 when they were about 3 days old and started bottle raising them. They've been excellent babies. We've fed them...
