Sara,
Thanks for the edit. I suck at writing.
Do you think that it would be better (in terms of getting more sympathy) not to add how she is happy at her foster home? What I mean is, do you think people will be less sympathetic for a cat who seems really happy in her current situation?
Any...
Thanks guys. Here is the text that I wrote......does it make you want to donate....be honest, I can take criticism.
A Caring Place Humane Society is trying to raise funds for some of the animals that we have had in foster care for longer periods of time. It can be a difficult and time...
Hi everyone,
I haven't written in a while because I've been overrun with fosters this summer.....busy, busy, busy.
Anyways, my group (A caring place humane society) is trying to start a new program for our "special Needs" animals. The inspiration for this is my Sissy; a 15+ year old cat who...
Whoever wrote this poem must have been talking to my Sissy. She is a 15+ year old foster cat (who realistically is a forever cat as I probably wouldn't let her go even if someone wanted her). She came to me when her elderly human died. She is one of my most special foster cats who spends all...
Scottie -- I love his nose. He has a very pronounced dent in the middle of his nose that is just adorable....and that he loves rubbed.
Pepper -- Love the bottom of his feet. Some of his pads are pink and some black....it's too cute.
Belle -- Her "pants". She has the super furry thighs...
Well, we have decided to keep little miss Sissy Spade. we tried bring her to petSmart to get her adopted out, but after a day or two she starts to get depressed. Then, she started to withdraw from the other cats in my cat kennel. So, we brought her in from the garage and there she will stay...
Here is Daisy (kitten #4 who is now the fattest of them all)
Here is Windie (kitten #1)
Minnie (kitten #3)
And my personal favorite: Mickey (kitten #2)
And momma Shannon
No, I don't keep them.
My group uses the adoption center at my local PetSmart for adoptions. They'll end up being adopted within a day or two.....momma, one the other hand, will take a little longer.

Here is momma, Shannon and her babies. Isn't momma pretty? The babies were born on Sunday afternoon.
Kitten #1 - Seal pointed??
Kitten #2 - Orange Tabby
Kitten #3 - Light gray
Kitten #4 - Calico
Aren't they sweet?

I did count all of the placentas, so that is not an issue. She is spotting a little, but it's less and less everyday (and it has not even been 48 hours since the birth).
I'm thinking she's really tired. She seems to be feeling good and is really being a great Mom. She purrs and kneads when I...
My foster-kitty who is a new momma had a really long and hard labor which ended at about 6pm on Sunday night. She still hasn't used her litterbox since the delivery. Does anyone know if this is normal. She is also not eating alot. She has eaten some and I have give her KMR (which she sipped...
My foster momma had her babies last night!!
She started delivery at around 2pm and finished at about 5:30. We have four kittens.
#1 Appears to be light gray with black tail, legs and feet, ears, nose.
#2 is an orange tabby - very active little sucker....will be lots of fun!!
#3 is a smoke...
Best of luck to you and the babies finding new homes. My foster-momma Shannon gave birth last night to four beautiful babies, too. She is clearly a new mom and needed some help dealing with all those mouths, but she seems to be doing better and better every hour.
Luckily kittens go relatively...
My cat is also lactating and the vet said it was okay for this to happen for a while before the kittens are born.
No kitties on my end either, but mom is sure getting big.
Best of lUck,
Karen
