I clean their box daily, they don't go #2 too much since I buy a grain free dry. I suppose I could scoop more. I do also add a special baking soda to their litter after each scoop. I have no idea why he's doing this.
He is behaving normally but I do have to note that he's started kneading when he never did before. I thought maybe his Mom left him early (was a stray but not feral) and he didn't know how to knead, but recently he's actually been doing it. He's always been a lap cat but now he will knead you...
I have a fixed male cal who is around 3 years old now, I also have a female who is around 2 1/2. I got them at separate times when they were around 6 months old (male first). They have always gotten along with one another to the point where they will share 1 jumbo litter box and not fight over...
My cat only eats dry (no lectures please), so I want him to have the best dry possible. I recently heard of this brand, Orijen.
I was thinking of switching my cat to it, this one specifically: http://www.orijen.ca/products/cat-food/dry-cat-food/cat-kitten/
The ingredients look GREAT.
But I...
I got my cat neutered March 29, he was around 6-7 months old then. No it didn't change his personality. I wish it would have though. He's just as crazy and bitey as before he was fixed. When I first got in in January he was sweet and cuddley and never bit and now he's a terror, lol, and it...
I don't think my cat has a preference but he uses a covered one. I bought it specifically for the high sides. The first litterbox I got him was uncovered with low sides and he thought it was funny to scoop litter out of it with his paws all over the floor. With his current litterbox he can't do...
Nooooooooooo! I didn't mean to confuse anyone. My cat does NOT only drink from the faucet once a day. Before the fountain he had a water bowl with fresh water at all times of the day. Sorry I didn't mention that. He was drinking from his bowl just fine. I also let him drink from the faucet and...
I took out the filter and replaced the water, then to get him to try and drink from it I dropped some treats into the bowl. Kinda icky but after he ate the treats he lapped up a lot of water and drank from the stream. I'll monitor to see if this was a fluke or not.
I doubt anything is unhealthy about a cat drinking from a bath faucet, it's just tap water, it's what people who don't drink bottled water drink, and brush their teeth with, ect....
I cleaned it with soap and water, he drank from it for a moment and walked away. While I cleaned it he kept trying to drink from it and lick it and stuff lol, but the other day when I first put it together he drank from it just like now, then ignored it. So I'll have to see....
I disagree with wet food being "so important". If your cat drinks enough water I see no problem with it. If my friends and family's cats can survive up until old age with no health problems just from eating Meow Mix, I think my cat will be alright with Halo.
Anyways..........I didn't really...
3 days ago I got my kitty a Drinkwell Platinum fountain because recently he's became a faucet cat. He loves drinking from the tub faucet. The first day I set this fountain up, he immediately went to it and drank from it no problems. Now he turns his nose up at it and I haven't seen him drink...
Sometimes he doesn't have a specific look, he's just playing. Sometimes his ears go little back and he kicks with his feet. I can't tell what's aggression and what's playful aggression. He's never once scratched me or hissed me.
