hi
thanks so much for the suggestions, they got enough people to do this transport but I will pass that info along as they do many transports each year.
Not sure I've heard them mention that organization so they may not know about it (this transport was done thru diabetic cats in need DCIN)...
cross posting
PLEASE SHARE. Ground transport help needed for a one-day transport from Dayton OH to Rolla MO. This is for Penelope, an insulin-dependent diabetic at high risk of PTS. The transport will likely occur this weekend (October 19 or 20) or next weekend (October 26 or 27). This link --...
I have a 15yr old cat Nell and a 2yr old cat Willow. The new girl is very playful. Now that's she's comfortable here (haven't had her that long) she is trying to play with my older girl.
She'll run up behind her and jump on her, or run after her if she walks across the room.
My older girl Nell...
Pat do you recall what the symptoms were or what it was that led your vet to believe that there was a heart issue in the first place?
obviously they do not do cardiac ultra sounds on every cat as a screening tool, they are far too expensive
This cat is healthy with absolutely no signs or...
11+ yr old cat seen at vet today, new vet
vet said that she heard an arrhythmia and she specifically mentioned PACs
she mentioned that the cat might have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and recommended a cardiac ultrasound and EKG
now I've never had a cat with heart issues, this is my friend's...
Hi I'm sorry but there's some confusion here, this is NOT my cat, it is a friend's and her dad's cat ok?
I am directing her here to this forum so she can post ok
got this from a friend, I told her I think she needs a new vet but beyond that, anyone have any ideas?
"_________(cat's name) first showed signs that something was wrong Saturday. Wasn't eating, wasn't going outside, just laying there not wanting to be around us. She is a VERY SOCIAL, VERY...
I don't drive and have bad knees and a bad back, so I do a big shopping about once every other month and pay someone to carry everything up to my 3rd floor (UGH!) apartment
and it's that time again- to do that BIG shopping.
I am really getting sick of the same ol stuff, and was hoping you...
well some of their transports are to other states so depending on which direction they are going, and when, you might be able to do a leg of the trip
that would be wonderful if you could!!
i don't drive at all, not to mention I'm in New Hampshire, but I wouldn't have my wonderful little rattie...
is there anyone here in the SD area who might be willing to help a rat rescue transport rats to new adoptive homes?
yes, rats! they are wonderful sweet pets, and you can have rats and cats (just don't let them play together LOL)
this rescue took in a huge number of rats and is trying...
thanks everyone for your ideas and stories!!
I still haven't gone shopping, got a few unexpected expenses, sick cat and my pet rats all got mites
sigh
I keep adding to the list, at this rate I'll need a truck to get it all home lol
does anyone else do this? or is it a Yankee/ New England thing?
as soon as the weather turns colder, we run out and stock up our shelves and cabinets with food, just in case we end up snowed in
nevermind that being *that* snowed in rarely happens, usually within 24 hrs you can get out to a...
Thanks LDG, I appreciate it, and I really appreciate you taking so much time to respond in such detail, thank you!!
Yes I think you are right about the whole trading a cat, or finding her a home, I think sometimes I just have to have that in my mind as an option because it seems like it would...
Ideas on how to make this work are welcomed but so far none have worked- I've tried Feliway (it made my male cat very aggressive, towards everyone including me) Rescue Remedy (no change) time outs, and no I don't have a lot of vertical space that I can use. I live in NH where the building stock...
Please, I know that a lot of people will dislike this idea immensely, there is no need to post it. Please, unless you have something HELPFUL to add, do not post to this thread at all.
I am looking for someone in Southern NH, preferably Manchester or very close by, to trade cats with. This would...
hi
thanks everyone, well i did call the vet but ended up talking to the receptionist, who is not even a vet tech
she seemed to think it was ok. pfftt!
I'm going to watch it carefully and if it doesn't look any better by tomorrow I'll take her in.
It was debrided the first time she saw the...
my 13 or so yr old girl Raven was treated for an infected wound on Nov 4th -She got a shot of convenia antibiotic and a shot of depo
she had a follow up shot of convenia on the 10th
all has been going well, she's in a soft e collar and doesn't mind it at all
but late last week, she...
please forgive me if you answered or addressed this question and i missed it;
i'm assuming if your cat was kept overnight, your vet was able to see him trying to cough up the hairball and is sure that it's a hairball problem and not something else?
ONLY reason i ask is that i've got two cats...
thanks for your reply- do you know what your cat's BP was when she was put on meds?
how many BP measurements do they take when she goes in to be checked?
does your cat have kidney disease or hyperthyroidism?
